 The Characters

        Greg, the tall lanky good looking side kick to Carl is a gentle giant, imposing, but really submissive and timid in life.  He follows in the wake of Carl like a seagull after a fishing trawler, picking up what he can in the wake.  His passion in life is watching zombie movies, but it sometimes goes too far and he truly believes that transients on the streets were probably once zombies. 

       Michael is the dodgy realtor who procures a plot of land for the Wide Boys ‘on the cheap’ on which to build their dream pub.  The dim witted Dwayne thinks that Michael is actually the actor Michael Keaton having fallen on hard times. 

The resemblance and name is purely

coincidental, but Michael rather likes the attention and runs with it.

       Olef Zasterkovich is the purulent Contractor out for a quick buck.  He thinks he’s also a wheeler dealer when he entices the Wide boys to use him as the building contractor and give them an incentive of him paying the first six months of the mortgage.  This seems like a fine deal until the Wide boys procure a mortgage for just one year!

        Rachel is the only intelligent person in the entire spectrum of characters.  Wise and knowledgeable beyond her 9 years, she is the go to girl when real problems need fixing.  She even corrects Dwayne on his crossword puzzles and plays scrabble with the transients that stay overnight.  She is an adult in child’s clothing and the voice of reason in the crazy world of the Wide boys.

     Carl is tired of working for ‘the man’.  He thinks he is tough but really is more suited to be a social worker.  His polite manner and laid back attitude do not lend themselves to the hard persona he likes to think he has going on. He is a leader amongst meek men, namely Greg.

Scott is the general manager of the supermarket that was robbed of half a million dollars.

He hates his job but loves the power and thinks he is a ladies man. When he discovers that the Wide Boys are in possession of the stolen money he pursues them with less than altruistic intent.

apartment is seen to be home to a homeless person or two.  Good natured and kind hearted Tiffany wants to please her

boyfriend Buster and is often found on eBay trying to make ends meet by selling old furniture and breast pumps that she found on LA Freecycle or the free listings on Craig’s List.
